Tom Cruise insists that he finds his wife Katie Holmes “an extraordinary” woman.

He says, “Married life is very good, very lovely. I feel lucky to have Kate as my wife. She’s an extraordinary woman. She is funny and smart and she likes the same things that I do.

“She’s a very strong, gracious woman, and a great comedian.

“I like doing romantic things, such as bringing flowers and surprising her with things. I love candlelit evenings with nice music.

“If I’m worried about anything, it’s if she can keep up with me. I’m very active.

“A couple of hours after meeting her, I thought, ‘I’m going to marry this woman.’ I just knew.”

Katie and Tom tied the know in 2006 and have a 2-year-old daughter Suri.

Tom Cruise reveals that he is not enamored by money.

Tom only does movie he “feels like” doing and doesn’t bother about money.

He says, “I’ve had lots of luck and earned much money during my career.

“Now I don’t do movies for the money. I pick the projects that I feel like doing, and lots of people earn a lot of money with me.”

On the idea of Suri being an actress, Tom says,  “I’d love it. I’d love it.

“Acting is … a great life to get to entertain people and create characters and stories.”

Cruise who has three kids, two with ex-wife Nicole and Suri with present wife Katie insists that his children are living the life that he always desired of.

He says, “I always wanted to travel the world, to be developed by different cultures, learn about their history.

“So that’s how I raised my kids — that they have full exposure to the world and all different kinds of ideas and philosophies so that they can make choices for themselves. I support them in whatever choices they want to make.

“But I do have a thing: If you’re going to do it, really do it. Don’t be casual about it.”

Apparently when Holmes revealed to him that she always wanted to marry him when she was a kid, he said, “I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her.”

Cruise adds, “At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.”

Katie also revealed that she was “completely in love” with Cruise as soon as she met him.
