Hollywood actor, Tom Cruise has set his eyes on becoming a comic superhero from the classic Sleeper.

The Mission Impossible star is helping Warner Bros. in setting up the movie with the help of director Sam Raimi and is giving an option to the bosses to cast him in the lead role.

The movie is going to be adapted from the DC comic, which deals with the life of a spy who gets fused with an alien object, which makes him immune from pain.

Lets see if he is as good as Batman, Superman and Spiderman.

Katie Holmes is busy with her Broadway debut and that has resulted in drift between her and hubby Tom Cruise.

Apparently Katie’s hectic schedule is the main reason behind the couples drift.

At the premiere of Tropic Thunder, onlookers revealed that Katie wasn’t her bubbly best.

An eyewitness said, “She managed to smile, but she seemed really out of it.”

“It just looked like she hadn’t slept in a while.”

Well they should try renewing their vows and go on a second honeymoon.

Tom Cruise is so very much in love with his wife Katie Holmes that he specially flew to New York to walk his wifey to rehearsals.

The 46-year-old actor came all the way from Los Angeles to accompany Katie Holmes as she is ready to take on stage on 16th of October.

The couple was seen taking a walk through Manhattan with daughter Suri.

Well hope this love lasts longer for Cruise and Holmes.

Tom Cruise and his family are very much concerned about their safety to the extent that they made sure that all their cars are fitted with bulletproof glasses.

The Top Gun star recently ordered all his vehicles to be equipped with state of the art security systems.

A source says, “It sounds like Tom has taken a page out of one of his action movies. A-list celebrities know they can’t be too careful.”

“Tom’s vehicles look perfectly normal, but in reality they are more like armored trucks. He really, really loves his cars and he can afford the best.”

Cruise’s cars are also bombproof and his drivers are trained in self-defense but he himself drives his cars more often.

The source added, “Tom is a car nut. He has practical everyday cars, classic collectibles and high-powered sports cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo.”

“Of course he loves every minute behind the wheel, but he’s not stupid and he’s not going to take any chances while he’s driving.”

Celebrity couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has revealed to their friends that they are trying for another child.

The couple at their housewarming party in LA made the announcement about their baby plans.

Onlookers at party were speculating that Katie Holmes is already pregnant as the former Dawson’s Creek star wore loose clothes and sported a bulgy tummy.

But sources close to the couple reveal that the Katie might actually fall pregnant by the end of the summer and the baby is expected in April 2009.

An insider says “Katie is in peak condition, and she’s still under 30, so doctors are happy that she can continue with work for the first three months.”

Katie who is going to make her Broadway debut at the end of the year has already started preparing for her pregnancy by putting on weight.

The insider adds, “She likes being curvy and Tom is also very happy with her womanly figure!”

Apparently Katie finds Broadway better than regular big movies to prove her acting capabilities but being a mother is her utmost priority.

“She loves the idea of a Broadway production rather than a big blockbuster to prove her worth as an actress,” said the insider.

“However, after a three month run, she’ll be content to hang up her boots for another year and consider more roles after her baby — or babies — are born.”

This year is proving lucky for Hollywood as the stork is making regular visits to our actresses.

Apparently TomKat’s two-year-old girl Suri is so “obsessed” with The Spice Girls that she insists on watching their videos everyday.

An insider reveals, “Suri is fascinated by Katie’s friend Victoria Beckham because she loves watching old Spice Girls videos at the moment. Whenever Suri sees Victoria in the flesh, she almost can’t comprehend it.”

We had previously read about rumors that Scientology fanatic, Tom Cruise wanted wife Katie Holmes to stay away from stick thin Victoria Beckham. But the controlling husband has eased down his rules and has allowed Katie to be friends with Victoria only if she doesn’t follow Victoria’s diet tips.

Tom Cruise has banned Victoria Beckham from swapping diet tips with wife Katie Holmes and Victoria who is happy being a buddy to Katie once again is following his warning.

A source close to the couple said, “Tom told Posh he was worried how thin Katie was getting, especially as they want to start trying for another baby soon.

“Tom was firm, but polite. He said that, although he understood Posh thought she was only trying to help Katie lose weight after Suri’s birth, he didn’t want her swapping more diet tips with Katie in the future.”

According to the same source Tom was increasingly worried about Katie’s obsession with her weight thanks to Victoria. The Mission Impossible star thinks that if Victoria stops talking about weights and diets, Katie might start gaining some weight.

Tom’s warning has gone down well with Posh, according to an insider, “Posh was gracious. She just wants to hang out with Katie again. When Katie stopped returning her calls and invites, Posh was genuinely upset. She wondered what she had done wrong, and didn’t know what to do about it.

“She asked her husband David for advice and even confided in Eva Longoria. Eva just told her to ‘keep being herself,’ and that whatever was bugging Katie would blow over.

Both Katie and Victoria are planning for another baby. Tom will be delighted if both stick thin moms-to-be exchange some weight gain tips.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attorney has issued a cease-and-desiste threat to the upmarket baby botique, Petit Tresor for giving out wrong information about Tom-Kat’s shopping at their store.

Owner of the boutique, Samantha Winch, was sent a letter by Tom-Kat’s attorney, Aaron J. Moss for leaking ’simply false’ information about the couple.

An excerpt from the letter reads, ” This firm represents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. It has come to our attention that representatives of Petit Trésor falsely informed Life & Style - on the record - that Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes have spent $350,000 - $400,000 at your stores on their daughter in the past two years. Not only does this statement violate our clients’ confidentiality, but it is simply false. We also understand that you have informed other tabloids that our clients have purchased various items at your stores that they have not in fact purchased, and that they have shopped there at times that they have not.

It appears that Petit Trésor has “leaked” this false information to the tabloids for the purpose of enhancing its image and obtaining a commercial advantage. This conduct violates our clients’ rights of privacy and rights of publicity. Accordingly, we hereby request that you no longer use our clients as part of your public relations and marketing efforts.

Please do not say anything (whether true or false) about Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes’ shopping habits.”

Rumors are abuzz that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are thinking about another baby.

Close friends of the couple claim that Katie Holmes hinted that she is planning to have another baby.

A friend of Katie said, “She said she’s got the itch.

“Now that Suri is more toddler than baby, she said she misses having an infant in the house. And, of course, she thinks Suri would make a great big sister.”

The source also adds that Tom supports the idea, “He said if Katie wants to make another baby, she doesn’t have to ask twice.”

“He always wanted more. It was Katie who has been holding off. Until now,” added the same source.

So we see a pregnant Holmes very soon?

Tom Cruise is out of the extortion case.

David Hans Schmidt was arrested in July after he asked Tom for $1 million in return for photos he’d acquired from his wedding to Katie Holmes in 2006.

David has pleaded guilty to transmitting threatening communications with the intent to extort.

In court papers, Tom’s lawyers report Schmidt, told the actor’s representatives “it would not look good for anyone if the photographs become public.”

But now Schmidt has agreed to enter a plea agreement in a bid to keep jail time to a minimum.

When sentenced, he faces up to two years in prison, one year of supervised release and a substantial monetary fine.

Tom will be at great relief now.
